Joseph Zeng, CFA

Founder & Chairman, Arcadia Fund Mgmt; ex-CEO Greenwoods AM HK

Mr. Zeng is the founder and chairman of Arcadia Fund Management, focusing on managing private investments of convertible bonds (CBs) and equities into public companies (PIPEs) listed in Hong Kong, Mainland China (Shanghai, Shenhzen), and Southeast Asian markets such as Singapore, Vietnam, and Indonesia.

Mr. Zeng has over 20 years of experience in investments, deal origination, and management. He was the CEO of Greenwoods Asset Mgmt Hong Kong Ltd in 2008-2022, focusing on investments in PIPEs, pre-IPOs and IPOs, as well as overall management of Greenwoods’ international business.


Greenwoods is one of the largest China managers specializing in managing equity investments into Chinese companies.


Before joining Greenwoods, Mr. Zeng was an investment banker with JPMorgan covering the IPOs and M&As of China banks, insurers, and asset managers. Prior to that, Mr. Zeng was an equity analyst covering Chinese banks at JP Morgan, when he was part of a team ranked the 2 Asia financial research team in the poll of Institutional Investors ((II).


Mr. Zeng is the Vice Chairman of the China Committee of HKVCA (The Hong Kong Venture Capital and Private Equity Association/香港创业及私募投资协会).


Mr. Zeng holds the degree of Master in Accounting & Finance, London School of Economics (LSE), with Robert Fleming scholarship. Before that he studied in the Master of International Finance Program at the Graduate School of the People’s Bank of China (PBOC) and the Bachelor of international finance program of Wuhan University, respectively.
