We honor our Conference Keynote speaker Stephen Roach for his lifelong contribution to helping the United States better understand China at our inaugural NEXTChina Lifetime Achievement Award ceremony.

Over the last 13 years, Stephen Roach has written three books whose titles summarize his thesis. His first book, The Next Asia: Opportunities and Challenges for a New Globalization from 2009, analyze Asia's economic imbalances and the dangers of the region's excess dependence on overextended Western consumers. Inn 2014, he warned of the trouble brewing with Unbalanced: The Codependency of America and China.

We get a sneak preview of his latest book, which explores a way out of the US-China deadlock - Accidental Conflict: America, China and the Clash of False Narratives.
